Terms of Use

Last updated: October 2026

These Terms of Use govern your use of FamilyRX, developed by Asif Bashar. By using the app, you agree to these terms.

Not medical advice. FamilyRX is an organizational tool for tracking medications, appointments, allergies, conditions and vaccinations — it is not a medical device, and it does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Prescription-label scanning uses automated text recognition and, on supported devices, on-device AI, both of which can make mistakes. Always review every field yourself before saving, and always follow the actual instructions from your doctor or pharmacist — never this app — for anything related to your or a family member's actual care. FamilyRX doesn't verify allergies, conditions or vaccinations: they're only as accurate as what you and your family enter, so check them against your medical and vaccination records and keep them up to date.

Who Can Use FamilyRX

You must be at least 13 years old to create your own FamilyRX account, and if you're under 18 you need a parent or guardian's permission. Younger children can only be added as a dependent, managed by an adult.

Your Account

You sign in with your Apple ID. You're responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter, and for keeping your device and Apple ID secure, since anyone with access to your device may be able to act as you within the app.

You can delete your account at any time in the app. Before deleting, you'll be shown what will be deleted and asked to confirm that you have read and understand it. Deletion is permanent: we can't recover your account or its records afterwards, so keep your own copy of anything you need first. Deleting your account doesn't cancel an App Store subscription; cancel that in your Apple Account settings.

Family Sharing

You control who you connect with and what you share with them. Adding a family member is a deliberate action — only add people you actually intend to share health information with. Data about a dependent or pet is visible to all of their guardians, and to any family member a guardian gives view access. A record you add about another person belongs to them: they can see, edit and delete it, and it stays with them if you leave the family.

Acceptable Use

Don't use FamilyRX to store or share information about someone without a legitimate basis for doing so (e.g. as their actual family member or caregiver), and don't attempt to access another person's account or data you haven't been given access to.

Disclaimer of Warranties

FamilyRX is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any scanned or AI-structured data will be accurate.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the app, including any harm resulting from relying on inaccurate medication, appointment, allergy, condition or vaccination information — whether entered manually, scanned, or AI-assisted. You are always responsible for verifying medical information with a qualified professional.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the app for anyone who violates these terms.

Changes to These Terms

If these terms change materially, we'll update the "Last updated" date above.
