Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 2026
This policy covers the "consumer health data" FamilyRX handles, as defined by Washington's My
Health My Data Act and similar laws in Nevada and Connecticut. It adds to our main
Privacy Policy.
What Consumer Health Data We Collect
- Medications: names, strengths and dosages, instructions, start and stop dates, status,
refills, quantities and expiration dates.
- Prescription details: pharmacies and their phone numbers, and prescribing doctors. We
deliberately don't collect prescription (Rx) numbers.
- Doctor appointments: doctor, date, location and phone number.
- Allergies and their reactions, and health conditions, with any notes you add — for people
and pets.
- Vaccinations: name, date given, where or by whom, and notes — for people and pets.
- Notes you or a family member add to a medication, appointment, allergy, condition or
vaccination.
- Who each record is about — you, a family member, a dependent, or a pet — and a history of
who added, changed or deleted it.
We don't collect location, biometric or genetic data, and we don't infer health information
from anything else you do.
Where It Comes From
- You, when you enter it or scan a prescription label (scanning happens entirely on your
device; see
the Privacy Policy).
- Family members you've given full access, when they add something about you, and the other
guardians of a dependent or pet you look after together.
Why We Collect and Use It
Only to provide the service you ask for: keeping your family's medication, appointment,
allergy, condition and vaccination records, and sharing them with the people you choose. We never use it for advertising, never sell
it, and never use it to build profiles about you.
Who We Share It With
- Family members you choose — only after you connect with them and, for your
own records, turn sharing on. You can stop sharing, or remove a connection, at any time.
- Our hosting provider (Render), which stores the data on our behalf.
- Apple Maps, only while you type an appointment's location, to suggest
matching places and addresses. Only what you type in that field is sent.
We don't share it with anyone else, and we never sell it. If the law ever required us to
disclose it (for example, a court order), we'd only disclose what's required.
Your Consent
When you create an account, you consent to us collecting and storing the consumer health data
you enter, only to provide the app to you. Sharing only ever happens because you chose to share
with someone. You can withdraw consent at any time by stopping sharing, removing connections, or
deleting your account.
Your Rights
- See and correct it — everything is in the app, including records others
added about you, which you can correct.
- Delete it — in the app, under Account > Delete My Account, at any time.
Records you added about someone else stay with that person. We keep only a record that you
confirmed the deletion, which contains no consumer health data.
- Find out what we hold and who we've shared it with — email us.
- Withdraw consent — as described above.
Email requests to asifub@gmail.com. We'll respond within
45 days. If we decline a request, you can appeal by replying to our answer with "Appeal" in the
subject line; we'll respond to an appeal within 45 days. If you're unhappy with the outcome, you
can contact your state Attorney General.
If There's a Breach
If your consumer health data is ever accessed or shared without authorization, we'll notify
you without unreasonable delay, and regulators where the law requires it.
